What is recorded here

Castle Craig is an 18th-century country house in Peeblesshire that became Scotland's first residential 12-step rehabilitation clinic in 1988. Peter and Dr Margaret McCann bought the estate to expand the treatment philosophy they developed at Clouds House, wrapping medical detoxification and psychological therapy inside fifty acres of private parkland. The house has spent centuries changing hands and purposes, but since 1988 it has served people leaving addiction behind.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castle Craig as Natural Feature (period Unknown). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
