What is recorded here
Castle Cottages, also called the Half Moon Inn, occupy 1-2 Green Street in Cardigan and date from the Post Medieval period. The name suggests a working inn beside a castle, where travellers drank, argued and forgot to leave. The cottages may still hold that noise in their walls, waiting for someone to knock.
The National Monuments Record of Wales records Castle Cottages; Half Moon Inn;1-2 Green Street, Cardigan as Cottage from the Post Medieval period. The saved point comes from the official national record. Inclusion does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
