What is recorded here
Castle Cottages stands in Argyll and Bute as a recorded farmstead, though no date or owner has yet emerged from the silence. Its exact position is known to within ten metres, yet the chambers that gave it life have withdrawn behind stone and time. Whatever hands built those walls, they shaped a place sturdy enough to resist forgetting. The cottages still hold their shape against the sky, waiting for someone curious enough to ask what they kept.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castle Cottages as Farmstead (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
