Castle Bank, Quarry I cut into the Powys landscape during the Post Medieval period, when human hands shaped stone for building or roadwork. The exact purpose has faded, but the scar remains clear enough to imagine men swinging hammers in rain, loading carts, and leaving behind a wound the land never fully closed. Quarry stone travels far once broken, carrying the shape of that place into walls and streets nobody connects back to the hill.
