Castle, Anglo-Norman masonry castle in Muckross, County Kerry, Ireland. Roche built a castle at Oirbhealach in 1214, but its precise location has been lost. What remains is a gap in the landscape, not a gap in the story: stone was set, a boundary was drawn, and the boundary disappeared.
