Why this matters

Carline Knowe is a small hill of roughly 150–200 metres in height, located in East Ayrshire, with a prominence reflecting its position within the gently undulating Southern Uplands. Its geology is typical of the region, comprising ancient Silurian greywacke and mudstone. While not widely known in folklore, it contributes to the local landscape character and may have historical value for hillwalking and geographical study in the area.
