The Holy Well of Saint Ignatius at Cannich is associated with Saint Ignatius of Antioch, an early Christian martyr, and was traditionally visited for healing and spiritual renewal. Local folklore suggests the well's waters were believed to have curative properties, particularly for ailments of the eyes and general weakness.
