Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Calf of Eday, South East as Chambered Cairn (neolithic). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Neolithic chambered cairn; dates to the early to middle Neolithic period (c. 3500–2500 BCE). It is significant as part of a broader network of chambered tombs in Orkney, reflecting complex funerary and social practices of the prehistoric communities in northern Scotland.
