Caitriona Jennings

Caitriona Jennings was born in Letterkenny, County Donegal, on 17 June 1980, and still runs for Letterkenny AC after leaving a tax advisory career in Dublin to chase ultra-distance records. She broke her own marathon time by nearly seven minutes in just her second attempt, qualified for the 2012 Olympics, and later set the women's 100-mile world record. The small border town gave birth to a woman who keeps measuring herself against distances most people would not even imagine.
