Caisteal Morar Na Shein stood at the north end of Loch More where River Thurso escapes the water, serving as the medieval hunting lodge and stronghold of Reginald Chen in southern Caithness. By 1769 the structure had collapsed into ruin, transforming a functional castle into a ghostly shadow that later writers misread as a Pictish tower. The earth has since swallowed every stone, leaving only the memory of a lord who hunted beside open water before the landscape erased his name.
