Cairnsmore of Carsphairn is a Neolithic chambered cairn, dating to approximately 3000–2500 BCE. It is significant as one of the largest and best-preserved prehistoric tombs in southern Scotland, reflecting early communal burial practices and megalithic construction techniques in the region.
