What is recorded here

Two shallow mounds sit on a steep limestone outcrop in County Kerry, overlooking marginal grazing land and distant horizons. The larger measures eight by six metres while the smaller spans six by four, both built from loose stone that may have marked a boundary, a burial or a temporary camp. Their unclassified status preserves the mystery, inviting wonder about the people who carried stones upward simply to be seen from afar.

'These two sites are located on top of a steep limestone outcrop, which affords panoramic views in all directions. The surrounding land is marginal and used for rough grazing. •The larger of the two mounds (KE030-106----) measures 8.00m by 6.00m and is 0.40m in height. Loose stone is visible in its make-up. •The smaller mound (KE030-107----) is 6.00m by 4.00m and is 0.30m in height.'
