What is recorded here

Five hollows cut through the grass, one hiding a stone roof above dead men. Road builders broke the mound in 1874 and found a burial chamber, yet Westropp denied the chamber years later. The quarry still bites at the hillside, hungry for stones that belonged to nobody living.

In level, mixed rough grazing, scrub, hazel and exposed karst. Not listed in the SMR or the RMP (1996). Identified by Dr. Sharon Parr. A Neolithic cairn, likely dating to the Early to Middle Bronze Age based on regional typology. Its significance lies in its contribution to understanding burial and ritual practices in the Burren landscape, though its specific function remains undetermined.
