Cairn is a cairn (unclassified) in Middlequarter (Newcastle parish), County Tipperary, Ireland. It stands as an oval stone mound, measuring 7.2 metres north to south and 5 metres east to west, on a steep east-facing slope of Knocknagearagh hill. The mound reaches between 0.47 and 0.9 metres in height and sits roughly in the centre of a local enclosure. This enclosure also contains a possible hut site in its north-west quadrant, linking the cairn to a wider group of ancient structures on the mountain.
On a fairly steep E-facing slope of Knocknagearagh hill in the Knockmealdown mountain range, in upland terrain with a river valley at the base of the slope. This is part of a complex of enclosures (TS091-009001-; TS091-009007-; TS091-009008-; TS091-009009-; TS091-009012-), hut sites (TS091-009003-; TS091-009004-; TS091-009006-; TS091-009010-; TS091-009011-; TS091-009015-), a possible ring-cairn (TS091-009002-), clearance cairns (TS091-009005-) identified by Diarmuid O'Keeffe, 1996. Roughly centrally placed within an enclosure (TS091-009012-), this is an oval cairn (dims. 7.2m N-S; 5m E-W; H 0.47-0.9m). A possible hut site (TS091-009015-) is also within the enclosure, in the NW quadrant.
