Half a metre of mixed stone still stands in the cutaway bog, overlooking the Dromoghty valley. Flat slabs line its north-west edge like a broken collar, while a shallow dip marks the centre. The cairn does not claim to be grand; it preserves the shape of human attention on a slope now opened to air and water.

In cutaway bog, on an E-facing slope, overlooking the valley of the Dromoghty River. A circular cairn (diam. 4m; H 0.65m) of stones varying in size and shape, protrudes above the surface of the bog. Traces of kerbing, consisting of stone slabs laid horizontally one on top of the other, are evident along the NW edge. There is a depression in the centre of the cairn. The cairn is close to the S end of a relict field boundary (KE101-082004-). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
