What is recorded here

Cairn is a forgotten marker in County Kerry, Ireland. It may still bury bones or mark a boundary, but human memory has erased its exact position. The land keeps its own records, waiting for someone patient enough to read them.

In the 1930s Capt. D. B. O'Connell recorded a cairn in this townland (KAS). It has not been precisely located and local enquiries failed to reveal its location. It may be in that part of the townland that is on OS 6-inch map 89. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
