The National Heritage List for England records Cairn on Bossington Hill, 1.12 km north east of Lynch Mead as a scheduled monument. The saved point comes from the centre supplied by the official record. Listing does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Neolithic chambered cairn; dates to the early to middle Neolithic period (c. 3700–3000 BCE). It represents an important surviving example of prehistoric funerary and ritual architecture in the region.
