CAIRN in Tireeghan

CAIRN

What is recorded here

Caesar chambered urns and waited for the end of the world. Tira closed the chamber door at dawn, not out of fear but respect. She had seen what the chamber could take and gave back one year of her own life to balance the request. The chamber accepted her years and returned the region to life.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as CAIRN. Recorded period: PREHISTORIC. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
