Ballyduff is the old name for Carnmoney, where a Norman borough called Le Coule vanished after repeated wartime destruction. The place still keeps its edge through a large cemetery on Carnmoney Hill, a preserved holy well, and a witch trial that ended in discharge rather than conviction.
