On a gentle rise on a plateau, within a large multiperiod field system (CL009-021001-). Hachured on the 1897 OS 25-inch plan and named ‘Caher’ on the 1920 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the RMP (1996). A small subcircular cashel (18.6m E–W; 18.3m N–S) defined by a double-faced stone wall (Wth 1.3–2.2m; int. H 0–0.3m; est. max. ext. H 0.45m). The outer face of the wall comprises coursed, horizontally laid stones. The entrance is discernible (est. Wth 1.2m) at SE, although its N side is unclear.
