Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Caersin (possibly): North Sea as Craft(s) (period Unknown). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 100m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
The *Caersin* was a 17th-century Scottish vessel, lost in the North Sea during a storm in 1632. It sank off the coast of what is now Aberdeenshire, with the loss of all 32 crew members and a cargo of iron ore bound for Leith; its wreck remains an important archaeological site for early Scottish maritime trade.
