Castle Street in Port Bannatyne, Argyll and Bute, held a 19th Century Free Church and School, later a 20th Century drill hall and meeting hall. Children may have sat beneath soldiers who marched there after the world changed. The building kept both parts of the town: its young minds and its armed men.
