Bute, Kames Castle, Walled Garden Cottage stands in Argyll and Bute, a small structure tucked beside a grand castle where gardens once grew. The wall may have blocked wind, kept out deer, or hidden love from curious neighbours. Such cottages existed to serve, to shelter, or to pretend ownership of beauty. The stones still hold that purpose even when the name and date have faded.
