What is recorded here

This site is located on flat, marshy land, on the S side of a small stream which flows E to Lough Currane. The heavily overgrown mound (KE098-085----) measures 11m E-W, rises to a maximum height of 1.1m and is largely composed of burnt stone. At its N edge, facing the stream, is an oblong-shaped depression measuring 6m x 1.5m. The site is locally referred to as 'Ardnawillan'. A low spread of burnt stone and blackened soil, 30m to W, may indicate the site of a second fulacht fiadh KE098-085001-. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J.
