BURIAL & URNS (unlocated) in Dressogagh

BURIAL & URNS (unlocated)

What is recorded here

Dressogagh holds an unlocated burial and urn site from the prehistoric era, waiting beneath ordinary ground. People may have set clay vessels into the earth there, marking the dead with heat-shaped clay and patience. The exact spot has slipped from modern sight, but the act remains clear: somebody loved far enough to shape a container for what left the body.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as BURIAL & URNS (unlocated). Recorded period: UNCERTAIN; PREHISTORIC. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
