What is recorded here
Foulkscourt in County Kilkenny is a medieval church on a rising area above the River Goul flood plain. It has no visible graveyard or headstones, though burials were found within the church itself in the 19th century. The missing graves suggest people were laid to rest inside the building rather than beside it.
On a slightly rising area above the River Goul flood plain, in rolling grassland. The medieval church of Foulkscourt (KK008-090001-) has no visible associated graveyard or headstones, though burials were found within the church itself in the 19th century (Moore 1874-9, vol. 1, 37-8; Carrigan 1905, vol. 2, 300).
