What is recorded here

Cruach Na Cara holds three skulls in a narrow stony line, exposed by the January and February 2014 storms just south of St. MacDara’s Church. The first two face south, two metres apart, while the third waits in alignment beyond them. The sea stripped the soil to reveal what the land had hidden, turning a quiet shoreline into a chamber where forgotten bodies still point toward the water.

Discovered during field-walking after the January/February 2014 storms (pers. comm. M. Gibbons). On a narrow stony shoreline (Wth 4-5m) above a smooth bedrock shore, c.118m almost due S of St. MacDara’s Church (GA076-020001-). Two human skulls lying 2m apart aligned on an ENE-WSW axis with the skulls apparently at E and facing S are visible. A third skull “in line” with the other two was also noted (ibid.)
