Beneath the busy streets of Trim, forgotten bodies waited for centuries before foundation trenches broke the quiet in August 1967. The adults lay scattered without stone markers or clear alignment, suggesting a hurried or lost ritual rather than a proud cathedral grave. Their anonymity transforms a mundane construction site into a chamber of suspended memory, where ordinary footing becomes a threshold for the dead.

In August 1967 human remains were uncovered (E001133) during digging foundations at Emmet Street, Trim. These burials were uncovered in foundation trenches (D 0.45m). Several complete skeletons and portions of others were uncovered in situ. The orientation of the graves was not always evident. There was no evidence for any type of stone lining around the burials, and the individual grave-cuts do not seem to have been identifiable.
