Keelnagarrane, the Church of the graves, still holds a semicircular patch of rough grazing atop a Knocks knoll, watching the sea and land in every direction. A large recumbent slab lies at the foot of the scarped edge while overgrown foundations mark Cillin a Turrais, the little church of the pilgrims. People may have brought their dead to this exposed place because the view felt like a bridge between the living world and whatever waits beyond it.

In pasture atop knoll; extensive view in all directions. Semicircular area (40m N-S; 24m E-W) of rough grazing; defined to W by N-S field fence; to E by scarped edge of knoll; divided in two by E-W field fence. At foot of scarp to NE large recumbent slab (H 1.05m 2.5m; 1.6m). In SE quadrant overgrown foundations (H 0.4m) of rectangular structure (8m NE-SW; 2.5m NW-SE); known locally as "Cillin a Turrais" (little church of the pilgrims) (CO122-101003-). Small cross slab in S portion near scarped edge. (CO122-101002-). Site known locally as "Keelnagarrane (Church of the graves)" (O'Donoghue 1986, 85).
