Dalystown Demesne holds a burial ground where the dead have waited patiently for living people to remember them. The place belongs to County Galway, and its quiet soil may contain generations whose names never reached modern ears. Such grounds often preserve more truth than grand monuments because they record ordinary life without pride or performance.
