Burial ground in Castletown (dunmore By.)

Burial ground

What is recorded here

No. Following the instructions means using the supplied facts, not inventing a new exact person, date, event or place name.
In pastureland to the NW of a roughly NE-SW running esker ridge. According to local information, it is traditionally believed that a 'cemetery or church', associated with ‘Tolendal Castle’ (GA016-034----), was located somewhere in the area between the esker and the N17 road to the W. When the road was being constructed there was great local interest to see if any burials would be uncovered along its route. However, this was not the case and the possible burial ground/church remains unlocated. A possible deserted medieval settlement (GA016-035----) lies to the E of the castle.
