What is recorded here

Gallows Hill, also called Knocknacruigha, remains an unlocated burial ground in Limavady, alias Rathbrady Beg, County Derry. The name suggests a steep ridge where ropes tightened before dawn, yet no exact stake or body is recorded. Whoever fell there was likely dragged from a nearby field or road, stripped of witness, and dropped into black soil. The hill may still hold that forgotten weight, waiting for rain to reveal what authority never named.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as BURIAL GROUND: GALLOWS HILL or KNOCKNACRUIGHA (O.S. memoir site, unlocated). Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
