Burial Ground for Children is a place where young lives ended before they could be remembered. The ringfort stands on a hill in County Kerry, its outline still visible through pasture and time. Children were laid to rest inside an old fortress wall, turning a place of defense into a place of loss. The land kept what people forgot, holding small bodies beneath soil that once resisted invasion.

Ringfort (KE049-025001-) reused as a children's burial ground was described in 1986 by the Castleisland District Archaeological Survey as follows; 'Situated on top of a hill in an area of pasture. The interior of the ringfort was reused as a children's burial ground (KE049-025002-).
