Likely dating to the Early Christian or later prehistoric period, the bullaun stone may have been used for ritual purposes, such as the preparation of holy water or as a site for religious or community gatherings. Such stones are often associated with local folklore and may have been linked to early Christian practices or earlier pagan traditions.
