Portraine is a small medieval church in County Dublin where a possible bullaun stone was identified in 1992 within the ground floor of its tower. It is no longer evident, perhaps buried, moved or forgotten beneath later stone and soil. What remains is a church standing in an ordinary field, holding a loss so complete it stops being discussable.
