Inchcleraun monastic cashel in County Longford still holds a recumbent bullaun stone whose hollows suggest repeated kneeling. The stone lies beside Romanesque jamb-stones and an unfinished cross-base on a cobbled path stretching 55 m to a possible church, as if prayer itself had worn the landscape into shape.
