Bullaun stone in Cashel (upperwoods By.)

In undulating countryside. A rough limestone rock (2 2/1 ft. square) with an artificial, basin-shaped hollow (Diam. 13 in. Dept 5 in.). (Carrigan 1905, vol. 2, 179). No visible surface remains. Described by Carrigan as 'The holy water stone, built into the face of a wall hard by is of so very primitive a description that it may have been in use in the days of St. Garadh himself; it is merely a rough limestone rock, 2 and a half feet square,with an artificial, basin shaped hollow 13 in. in diameter and 5 in. deep' (Carrigan 1905, vol. 2, 179).
