Maddydrumbrist holds Bronze Age ring barrows, post holes, pits, urn cremations and a basket burial in County Down. The site preserved both fired remains and unburnt death goods, suggesting people marked loss in more than one way. Some may have carried a body in a woven basket before burial while others reduced bones to ash for urns. The mixture resists a single ritual explanation and keeps the dead visually present in several forms at once.
