What is recorded here

Mounds that marked Bronze Age deaths in Drumnakeel have been lost, leaving only a map point where human bones and memory once lay buried. The destruction erased the shape of the place but did not erase the fact that people lived, died and were remembered there. What remains is a gap in the land, not a gap in history.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as BRONZE AGE BURIAL SITE (destroyed). Recorded period: BRONZE AGE; PREHISTORIC. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
