Brodie Castle, Walled Garden stands in Moray as a nineteenth-century glasshouse, still marked on official maps though no longer open to casual visitors. Inside its pale frame, heat and humidity may have curled around rare plants while the castle watched from above. The boundary between cultivated life and wild Scotland became thin in that small warm room, where tenderness and pride both had a reason to exist.
