Single-arch road bridge over canal, extant 1904. Part creeper- or ivy-covered coursed rubble stone walls with cut-granite stringcourses supporting parapets having lichen-spotted cut-granite coping. Single round or segmental arch with lichen-spotted granite ashlar voussoirs centred on cut-granite keystones. Sited spanning canal with overgrown embankments to canal.

A bridge representing an integral component of the nineteenth-century civil engineering heritage of Courtown with the architectural value of the composition suggested not only by the silver-grey granite dressings demonstrating good quality workmanship, but also by the elegant "sweep" of the arch making a pleasing visual statement at a crossing over a canalised spur of the Owenavorragh River.
