This black commemorative plaque records: Brebner's Court also known as Bremner's Court and formerly known as Birnie's Close. Andrew J. Birnie owned adjacent land in 1786. Alexander Brebner of Learney, Provost of Aberdeen (1805-1811) bought land nearby in 1804. Recorded plaque organisation: Aberdeen City Council.
Brebner's Court, originally Birnie's Close, was renamed after Alexander Brebner of Learney, who served as Provost of Aberdeen from 1805 to 1811 and purchased adjacent land in 1804.
