Bowes-Lyon Bridge, opened in 1988, commemorates the Bowes-Lyon family; most notably, it remembers Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, born as Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, who was a significant figure during World War II and the consort of King George VI.
