What is recorded here

Booley hut in Glenmakeeran, County Antrim: a small timber or stone shelter used for seasonal mountain work, now destroyed. The glen gave privacy, water and pasture; the hut gave back a bed, a fire and a place to keep tools through rain. It is gone, but the valley still holds the shape of that repeated human answer to hardship.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as BOOLEY HUT (destroyed). Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
