Conzie Castle, also called Bognie Castle, is a ruined four-storey castle built in the 1660s by the Morisons of Bognie on Bognie Estate between Huntly and Banff. They likely never lived inside because they acquired Frendraught around 1676 and turned that house into their home instead. The castle stands abandoned beside a doocot, preserving the moment a family chose one roof over another and left the first empty.
