St Skae is a lesser-known early Christian saint associated with several sites in Orkney and Caithness, and is traditionally linked with healing and protection. The incised cross at the Chapel of St Skae suggests a medieval Christian ritual or devotional site, possibly connected to local saintly veneration and early church practices in northern Scotland.
