Blackford is the broken remains of a mansion in Aberdeenshire, occupied by the Garden family before the 16th century and held by the Forbeses from 1702 until 1851. William Walker called it a pretty new house built after the English model in 1722, yet the estate stretched back through older hands and newer rebuilding. The roof left in the 1940s, but the central portion still stands as a modern house beside a stone-lined ice-house, keeping the place alive under changed uses.

The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
