Beresford Gap is a coastal rock feature on the Isle of Thanet, composed primarily of Chalk from the Cretaceous period, around 80 to 100 million years old. The feature is notable for its exposure of geological strata and its role in illustrating coastal erosion processes along the southeastern coast of England.
