Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Benbecula, Airidh Na H-aon Oidhche as Chambered Cairn (neolithic), Shieling Hut(s) (post Medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Neolithic chambered cairn, dating to approximately 3000–2500 BCE. It represents a significant prehistoric funerary and ceremonial site in the Western Isles of Scotland.
