Hill of rock and water
Ben Alder is a prominent peak in the Cairngorms of Scotland, standing at approximately 1,167 meters and known for its rugged granite geology and glacial features. It holds cultural significance as a traditional boundary marker between Perth and Kinross and Badenoch and Strathspey, and is associated with local folklore involving hidden valleys and ancient drystone walls.
